Is it fair to use Jonathan Penney to edit and make prints to be submitted for PPA, WPPI, or other photographic image competitions? Some say using such a service is nothing more than a "within-the-rules way to buy merit prints;" but, it is wrong and should not be allowed. Others take the opposite view claiming that the collaborative process that occurs between photographer and printmaker is what is required to compete in today's marketplace and competitions—so, bring on the competition.
